Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can En-Turf be mixed with other products such as Fertilizers, Fungicides or Wetting Agents? It is always preferable to apply En-Turf by itself to ensure that the quality of the microbial product and its respective cell count are not impacted in any way by outside products or other variables.
-
How is En-Turf applied?En-Turf is a non-toxic biological product that does not require protective gear to be applied. The product is mixed with water and then sprayed over the target treatment area of turfgrass.
-
Should En-Turf be watered in?While it is not necessary to water the product, moist earth aids the ability of the microorganisms to travel to the roots of the turfgrass.
-
Should the same amount of En-Turf be applied to greens as fairways?Greens have higher external stressors such as increased foot and ball traffic, more frequent cutting, and a higher probability of pathogen outbreak. Due to these reasons, heavier and more frequent use of En-Turf is recommended for greens and areas of recurring pathogen outbreaks. In contrast, lower-stress areas such as fairways and tee boxes can have a lower En-Turf application rate. Please talk with your En-Turf specialist to discuss your specific needs.
-
What form does En-Turf come in? Is it a liquid or powder?En-Turf comes in liquid concentrate form and is made up of two different bacterial strains, hence the two bottles.
-
What ratio of water to product should I use?We recommend a ratio of 1 part En-Turf to 300 part water. For example, every 1 Litre of En-Fix and 1 Litre of En-Guard will require a total of 300 Litres of Water.
-
Is En-Turf a preemptive solution?Yes, it is best to use En-Turf before the stressor occurs so that the plant has already been inoculated before the impact of the stress.
-
Is there any risk that your product will damage our greens or fairways, can En-Turf be over sprayed? There is no risk of over-applying En-Turf; since it is a biological product, the grass will only uptake whatever microbiome it requires, leaving the rest to break down naturally.
-
What would be an excellent trial to start with?It is recommended that you treat an area over 3 acres so that you can fully assess the efficacy of En-Turf for your golf course.
